Information we collect

You can play as a guest. Guest progress and preferences are saved in your browser. If you create an account, we collect your email address and in-game name, and store your puzzle progress, results and friend connections. We also store reports you choose to send us. Sign-in records may include your IP address and browser information. We do not ask for your real name or date of birth.

How we use information

We use this information to send sign-in codes, save your progress, provide social features, review reports and protect Ponder from misuse. Your in-game name and eligible results may be visible to friends, subject to your privacy settings and blocks. Joining a group lets its members see your Daily Race results and when you last raced, regardless of the friends visibility setting. Either-direction blocks hide your identity, activity and results from the other player. Group administrators can manage anonymous blocked memberships. Global comparisons use anonymous statistics.

Service providers and advertising

Providers that host Ponder and deliver sign-in email process information for us. They may process it outside your country. Ponder uses Google AdSense when ads are enabled. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google provides its own consent messages and privacy controls where applicable. We do not add your email, sign-in token or puzzle answers to ad requests.

Google explains its advertising data practices in its Privacy Policy and how Google uses data on partner sites. You can manage or turn off personalised Google ads in My Ad Center. To change your consent choices for Ponder, use the privacy controls in Google’s messages or the “Privacy and ad choices” control under “Help & info” in the game footer on pages with ads.

How long we keep information

Guest data remains on your device until you clear your browser data. We keep account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we close access and remove account data through our deletion process. We keep a deletion record that does not contain your email, in-game name or saved progress.

Children and your choices

Children can use Ponder. You can change friend visibility and delete your account in Settings. To ask to access or correct information, raise a privacy concern, or make a request for a child you care for, contact us below. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to a privacy regulator.
