These terms explain the rules for using Ponder, including its puzzles, accounts and social features.

Using Ponder

Ponder is operated by Decent Software Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Australia. By using Ponder, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. If you help a child use Ponder, help them understand these rules and the Privacy Policy.

You may use Ponder for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment, subject to these terms and applicable law.

Your account and progress

You can play as a guest or create an account with an email address you are authorised to use. Keep your sign-in codes private and choose an appropriate in-game name. Do not impersonate another person or use someone else’s account without permission.

Guest records are stored in your browser and can be lost if you clear browser data. Ordinary unfinished moves are held for the current session; reloading a puzzle can discard those moves. See Help for the current save behaviour. You can delete your account in Settings.

Fair play and respectful use

Use social features respectfully. Do not harass others, use offensive or misleading names, submit false reports, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with the service.

Do not use bots or automated tools to submit gameplay or results, manipulate rankings, bypass play or access limits, or exploit a fault to gain an unfair advantage. Ponder’s own hints are part of the game and are allowed; Race results record their use.

Ponder’s content

The original software, artwork, writing and branding in Ponder are owned by Decent Software or used under licence. Playing does not transfer ownership of that material. Do not copy or redistribute it commercially without permission or another lawful basis. You may share links to Ponder and screenshots of your own play for personal use.

Privacy and advertising

The Privacy Policy explains Ponder’s use of information. Some pages use Google AdSense. Google’s advertising data practices, policies and controls are linked from that policy. Third-party websites and services have their own terms.

Access and results

We may restrict an account or remove affected results when there is misuse, a breach of these terms or a security risk. You can contact us to ask about a restriction or request a review.

Availability and your rights

We aim to keep Ponder reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted access or that every puzzle or feature will be free from error. Maintenance, faults and changes can affect availability.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Any limitation in these terms applies only to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Ponder changes. We will update the date on this page and give reasonable notice of material changes. Updates apply prospectively and do not remove rights that have already arisen. If you do not agree to an update, you can stop using Ponder and delete your account.
